In these African children who died in the conflicts between 1995 and 2015, the age of about 30 lakhs was less than 1 year or less. This thing has come up in a new study. According to the study, about 5 million African children have been killed in wars in Africa over the last 20 years. This research has been published in The Lancet Medical Journal.
According to the study, the diseases which caused the death of children could be stopped. But because of the war, children could not get the drinking water and the basic amenities of health. Iran's Baindewad researcher Stanford University says, "The outcome of the war is fatal, but many unforeseen consequences are also revealed. These include diseases, malnutrition, lack of clear water, lack of sanitation and mother care.
This research examined 15,500 crises and struggles in 34 African countries in the past 20 years. During this time, statistics related to deaths, child birth and mortality figures were raised. Studies show that the battles have a direct impact on the child mortality rates. 7% of the total deaths caused wars due to death.
Children born in a radius of around 50 kilometers of war zone or conflict area were found to be the most likely to die in the early years. Children born within a radius of 100 km can not be completely safe. Not only that, the crisis of death continues to haunt children born after 8 years of conflict.
Researchers found that if the violence increased during the conflict, the risk of death in the newborn was increased to about 30 percent. The infant mortality rate was seen around four times in areas of conflict that lasted for five years or more.
Baididev says, "Because of conflict, the crisis of death increases in children and it continues even after the conflict is over." Researchers have expressed hope that the measures will be taken to prevent the death of children And intervene in conflict areas will work on the health of children
